The home is not open to the public, but we do love sharing the home when we’re able! We frequently host guided house tours, and overnight stays are offered on a limited basis to architecture enthusiasts who want to experience Wright’s vision for Usonia more intimately.

We believe the home should be accessible and equitable to everyone—not just those who can afford the overnight rate—and so our monthly guided house tours are always free! For those who are willing and able, we do appreciate donations, and all proceeds go to preserving the home.

RE: 2026 Tours

My wife and I are expecting our first child this spring, so we are unable to commit to any tours at this time. You can probably expect more starting up in the fall, but I can’t make any promises right now ❤

  1. Fall Open House & Art Sale at Frank Lloyd Wright's Goetsch–Winckler House Hosted By Triola's Estate Services

    Join us for an open house and art sale at Frank Lloyd Wright's Goetsch–Winckler house during the peak of the fall season! You'll be able to self tour the home and grounds and also browse a curated selection of original artwork by Alma Goetsch and Kathrine Winckler—the home’s original owners—that will be available for purchase, offered in partnership with Triola’s Estate Sale Services.

    Triola's owns the bulk of the former Michigan State University collection of Goetsch and Winckler's artwork, and will donate half of all proceeds during the art sale to the home, which will we then in turn use for various projects at the house as well as to purchase original artworks directly from Triola's to add to the home's archives. The artwork for sale is NOT from the home's archives.

    There is only street parking available—please be courteous of our neighbors! Be aware that, depending on interest, the walk may be quite far. Shoe slip covers will be provided when indoors if weather is inclement. Registration is not required, but appreciated! It will help us get an idea of headcount.

    Commercial photography or videography is not allowed. Children under 13 are not permitted. Guests ages 13–17 must be accompanied by an adult.

    PRIVATE PROPERTY. No trespassing. Please enjoy from a distance. Thank you!
